Belly & Long Putters

Belly and Long putters allow for a smooth pendular type swing, resulting in more accurate putts. Longer putters also reduce back stress, making it physically easier to putt — a distinct advantage.

Despite the enormous success of Tour players using Belly and Long putters, many golfers are reluctant to use them due to the unfamiliarity of how to hold and stroke them properly.

If you do not have access to a fitting device, to determine the appropriate length for a belly putter, assume your normal putting position and make a mark 10" directly in front of your toes. Using a tape measure, measure the distance from the mark to your belly button, while in your normal putting position. Belly putters are available in 41", 43" and 45" lengths.

For a long putter, make the mark at 8" in front of your toes. With knees slightly bent and your head over the mark, measure the distance from the mark to your breast bone. Long putters are available in 48", 50" and 52" lengths.

STX offers four Belly putter models and three Long models.
