STX INTRODUCES NEW BELLY PUTTER
Baltimore, MD - December 13, 2001 - STX Golf, the first company to patent and introduce an insert putter, announced the introduction of three new models to their technologically advanced putter line, the STX Tour Mallet Belly Putter, and the STX Greeny VII & VIII.
According to STX Golf's National Sales Manager, Greg Fudge, "the development of the new Tour Mallet Belly Putter is a direct result from the retail success wešve experienced with the Sync 3 Belly Putter. "
TOUR MALLET BELLY PUTTER
The Tour Mallet Belly Putter is designed in mid-lengths of 41", 43", and 45" to allow the golfer to anchor the putter in the stomach or chest area. This new putting stroke being popularized on the PGA Tour provides greater putting stability and controlled accuracy. The distinctive cavity-back mallet head with an optimal center weighted sweet spot is designed by renown sculptor, Bob Engman, with a 15 degree lie and 3 degree loft for precise putting performance. The insert face consists of the new STX Greeny Textin polyurethane material which has been developed and tested for ideal roll characteristics. In fact, STX Golf staff and PGA Tour player, "Scott McCarron validated the outstanding performance of the new Textin insert when he claimed victory at both the 2001 Bell South Classic and Franklin Temple Shootout," Fudge adds."
