STX GOLF STAFF PLAYER, SCOTT MCCARRON, DEFENDS FRANKLIN TEMPLE SHOOTOUT TITLE WITH HIS STX SYNC 3 LONG HANDLED PUTTER

Baltimore, MD - November 15, 2001 - STX Golf scores its 2nd PGA Tour win this season. Using the STX Sync 3 Long Handle putter, STX staff player and PGA Tour player, Scott Mc Carron, sank a 35-foot, double-breaking putt for eagle which turned his team toward victory at the Franklin Temple Shootout.

McCarron's playing partner, and PGA Tour player, Brad Faxon stated, "Scotty's putt on No. 17 turned us around and we took the lead." McCarron and Faxon won the Shootout in 2000 with a birdie on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff against Scott Hoch and Carlos Franco. They became the first team to claim back to back wins at the Franklin Temple Shootout.

"We at STX Golf congratulate Scott and Brad for their exciting victory," said Greg Fudge, National Sales Manager of STX Golf. "Scott's victory validates the outstanding performance of the Sync 3 Long Handled putter as well as the new Texin insert," Fudge adds.

McCarron switched to STX's new, green, Texin polyurethane face prior to the Bell South Classic where he claimed his fourth PGA Tour victory. The new, patented, STX face insert provides golfers with better putting control without sacrificing feel or feedback. In the most recent PGA "All-Around" ranking, Scott is currently ranked #3.

STX Golf introduced the first patented insert putter in the early 80's. Since that time, the company has consistently led the industry in implementing new standards of innovation, while conforming to USGA rules. STX Golf's full line of putters can be viewed online at www.stxgolf.com.
