STX GOLF TO ROLL OUT NEW SYNC 3 BELLY PUTTER
Baltimore, MD - August 29, 2001 - STX Golf's National Sales Manager, Greg Fudge, announced the introduction of the company's new Sync 3 Belly Putter.
"Belly or mid length putters are an evolution from the popular long handled design used by many PGA Touring professionals, including STX Golf's Tour staff player, Scott McCarron," Fudge stated. "The Sync 3 Belly Putter marks the culmination of extensive PGA consultation and testing which concludes that a longer putter, when anchored in the stomach or chest area, provides greater putting stability and controlled accuracy. This usage has created an entirely new successful putting stroke," he adds.
According to Jim Rodgers, STX Golf's General Manager, the belly putter is one of the hottest trends on the PGA Tour and STX Golf has responded with the introduction of the Sync 3 Belly Putter. The new putter is available in 41", 43", and 45" shaft lengths. The face insert consists of the new STX Greeny Textin polyurethane elastomer material, which was used by Scott McCarron to win the 2001 BellSouth Classic. The Sync 3 Belly Putter features STX's exclusive center-bullet weighted sweet spot, a new Winn split grip, and the manufacturers suggested retail price is $159.00. "We are pleased to add what we believe is the finest belly putter on the market to our technologically advanced, Tour quality product line," Rodgers said.
STX Golf introduced the first patented insert putter in the early 80's. Since that time, the company has consistently led the industry in implementing new standards of innovation, while conforming to USGA rules. STX Golf's full line of putters can be viewed online at www.stxgolf.com.
